Dirt Cupcakes & Muddy Milkshakes

Recently, we were asked to be in Daily Buzz Moms Daily 9 for their Party On feature. We happily agreed and created an adorable outdoor Garden Party for our kids.

To keep the party all about the kids, we let them decide what we should eat at our little Garden Party. They were thrilled to be “in charge” and after a brief conversation amongst themselves, they excitedly declared that we’d be eating Dirt Cupcakes and Muddy Milkshakes.

Kids Craft: Bug Hunting with Mason Jars

Last week, we hosted a Garden Party for our Kids and to make sure that the party catered to both our boys AND our girls, we did a variety of activities. As seen earlier this week, the girls really enjoyed making their own terrariums, but the boys were way more excited to go on a Bug Hunt with us!

This activity was so easy to do, especially when we used Recycled Jam Jars as the temporary home for our creepy crawlies.

May’s Etsy Artisan Giveaway: Fire Island Soap Company

It is with our great love of all things Fire Island, that we’re delighted to bring you our latest Etsy Artisan Giveaway. This month, we have a very special guest, Bilal Hito, from the Fire Island Soap Company. Not only does he make soaps in his home on Fire Island, but he also hails from West Islip, NY – our very own home town. :)

This month, one lucky winner will be the recipient of 7 – that’s right, I said SEVEN – handcrafted, homemade soaps from the Fire Island Soap Company. Each bar of soap retails for $5.95, so that’s a pretty lovely Giveaway if I do say so myself!
