Kids Craft: Bug Hunting with Mason Jars

Kids' Craft: Bug Hunting with Recycled Jam Jars
Last week, we hosted a Garden Party for our Kids. To make sure that the party catered to both our girls AND our boys, we did a variety of activities. As seen earlier this week, the girls really enjoyed making their own terrariums, but the boys were way more excited to go on a Bug Hunt with us!

This activity was so easy to do, especially when we used Recycled Jam Jars as the temporary home for our creepy crawlies.

KIDS’ CRAFT: BUG HUNTING WITH RECYCLED JAM JARS

Materials:

  • Clear container with a lid
  • Grass, leaves, twigs, etc
  • Bugs!

Directions:

Step 1: We should be embarrassed to even call these steps! Get your jar. Throw in some earth matter. Start bug hunting! Have fun! (Safari hats are optional!)
