This Easter Bunny Napkin Holder craft is a fun way to recycle! You can use toilet paper rolls to create these easy napkin rings for your Easter table.
When you were young, did you have to sit at the kids’ table? If you have a big family, I’m pretty sure you know exactly what I’m talking about. When we were growing up, even though everyone was welcome to come for dinner, there never were enough seats at the “big” table. So if you were a kid, you had to park your butt at the “kiddie table.”
Unfortunately, once you were placed at the kiddie table, it became very, very difficult to move on up. It’s only fair that I mention that my siblings and I found ourselves sitting at the kiddie table well into adulthood…
I will never forget the first time my (now) husband came to a family holiday. As we sat down at the tiny little card table, my husband could not hide the smirk on his face.
“You still have to sit at the kids’ table?”
I nodded my head and pointed around the “kid’s table” at my sister, my brother-in-law, and my brother – “they have to sit here too.” On that very fine day, the kids at the kiddie table were all over the age of twenty. Sigh.
Eventually, we did graduate to the “adult table,” but only because we had kids. My brother, who doesn’t have kids yet, still has to sit at the kiddie table. Although I’m pretty sure he doesn’t mind because he finds his little dining companions to be hilarious. As I look over and see my children laughing and causing trouble with their cousins (and Uncle) at the kid’s table, I smile and hope they are having as much fun as we did.
To make sure that their table is a fun as possible, my sister and I love coming up with decorations that are just for them. For Easter this year, we gathered up our recyclables and made these toilet paper tube napkin holders for them. Since they aren’t going to leave the kiddie table anytime soon, and may just end up sitting there with their spouses-to-be one day, we need to keep things special for them.
