Maintaining Your Health During the Holidays

This post was sponsored by Nature Made® as a part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central.

The holiday season has arrived and is kicking into high gear everywhere I look. The beautiful sight of decorations is prompting me to make mental notes of what I need to accomplish before the holidays. I know that the influx of holiday-related tasks will have me squeezing more time out of my already busy days.

Finding more time in my day is not easily accomplished, something always has to give. I routinely find myself abandoning my exercise routine and basic healthy habits. Who has time for exercise, self-care, and vitamins, when there is holiday shopping to be done? Not this mom.

Like most people, when I don’t prioritize my health the results are unpleasant. I certainly do not feel my best during the holiday season. I feel frazzled, stressed, and tense – feelings that running naturally eases for me. I also find myself sniffling, sneezing and generally unwell most days – sensations that my daily vitamins often prevent.

This year I am refusing to fall into my poor holiday health routines. My commitment to exercising each day will be fulfilled by broadening my form of exercise. Running, biking, walking the dog – this holiday season anything is acceptable, as long as I can commit 30 minutes each day.

Forgetting to take my daily supplement and probiotics, is another bad habit I fall into. By finding an easier way to remember them, I succeed in taking them. Each night I put them right next to my coffee pot. Not much is getting done until my first cup of coffee, which makes this a great way to take my vitamins before I have time to forget.

This holiday season I encourage you to put your health first. Taking a modest amount of “me time” can make all the difference in the world. You will be amazed by how your outlook can change when you shift your focus to enjoying the holidays. A positive attitude and good health will make that never ending task list considerably more manageable.

The easiest way to get on the path to good health is by starting small. Start with a walk around the block to clear your head. Add a few vitamins and supplements to your diet. I find my preferred vitamins, Nature Made® at my local Walmart. Their every-day low prices allow me to stock up on what I am looking for.

Nature Made® is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended brand for many key dietary supplement categories*. Nature Made® has a variety of vitamins, minerals, and supplements (VMS) to help support nutritional gaps with your health goals in mind ranging from Digestive Support, Heart Health & Function, Energy Metabolism, Women’s Health and much more!†

Nature Made® vitamins and supplements: An easy, convenient way to help your body get the nutritional support it needs every day, whether it be to support bone health, immune health or energy metabolism (helping convert food into energy).†”

If you are determined to stay healthy this holiday season, join the Nature Made®Healthy Habit Builder program where you can get motivation and tips around your specific health goals.

If you would like more information on Nature Made® vitamins and supplements available at Walmart, visit the Nature Made® Retailer Hub and enter to win one of 60 Walmart gift cards (each worth $50) by taking part in the sweepstakes on the site! (No Purchase Necessary).
