Saving Time & Money With Sam’s Wholesale Club

Now that school has started in our neck of the woods, our fast-paced lives begin all over again. I find myself rushing our kids out the door to school, and then rushing them back home again to do their homework, and then rushing them to whatever activity happens to land on that day of the week. Come Friday, I’m just about pooped – and so are they. So whenever I can find a way to save time (and money!), I’m all for it. This is one of the many reasons that I really enjoy being a Sam’s Club Member.

Sam’s Wholesale Club carries many of the brands that my family loves and their prices always save me a pretty penny on the items we need to buy in bulk. From fresh fruits and veggies, to over-the-counter medications and supplements, to back-to-school supplies – Sam’s Club has it all.

As the primary shopper in our home, I’m often amazed at how much money I can really save by shopping at Sam’s Club – especially when you know exactly what you need before you head out the door. But, my husband – who, I love him to pieces – really has no idea how much food costs and just takes my word for it each week. Now that’s incredibly honorable and lovely of him, but I really wanted to show him why our Sam’s Club membership was worth every single penny.

So over the weekend, I convinced my husband and our kids to come shopping with me. I may have had to promise to buy each of the kids a new book (Yes, they sell books there!), and promise to buy my husband new comfy “couch blankets” (Yep, they sell those too!) – but after I did, they all piled into the car.

As soon as we walked into Sam’s Club, my kids eyes lit up like they do on Christmas morning. The store is massive and there are many sights to behold – flat screen tvs, handheld devices, shiny fruits and vegetables, and stacks and stacks of their favorite school snacks. I quickly rerouted them over to the Pharmacy section because I wanted to show my husband how much money I save on our daily supplements. I have Prehypertension and some other health issues, and I like to treat them with supplements whenever possible. So when I can save money on things I take daily like CoQ10, Magnesium, Fish Oil, Probiotics, and more – I’m a happy camper!

He was also very impressed with the incredible savings on many of the fruits and vegetables that our family enjoys in the Fresh Foods section. When he found out that I can order many of these items using their Click ‘n’ Pull service, he couldn’t believe it. (What’s the Click ‘n’ Pull service? Well, it’s an online feature that lets me shop for our groceries in advance – from the comfort of our own home – and then pick up my entire order the next day at Member Services. For a busy Mom, like me, this time saving feature makes my membership incredibly important to me!) He also loved that we could tackle some of our other healthcare needs too: we can get our eyes checked at the Optical store, pick up our prescriptions at the Pharmacy, and even get free Health Screenings too!

We spent at least an hour checking out all of the cool features that come with having a Sam’s Club membership and I’m happy to report that my husband also agrees that our annual fee is well worth it!

I love shopping at Sam’s Club, but I’ve never used the Click ‘n Pull service. I’ll have to give that a shot before my next trip. Thanks for sharing! #client
