The kids were bored…again.
Daniele and I weren't surprised…because we were bored too.
We needed to let the kids out, but we also needed to work on the blog. So, we decided to have a photo shoot!
The kids could have cared less what we were doing – as long as it meant freedom outdoors, so they put on some clean clothes and out they went!
We did Tommy first. My nephew barely ever sits still and once he realizes you have a camera in your hand, he starts yelling, "C-H-E-E-E-E-S-E!", and you can kiss your picture goodbye! Tommy gave us all of three minutes before he ran away…
So, then we went looking for Abbey – our next escape artist. Unfortunately, for us, Abbey had already jumped in the baby pool with her pretty pink dress on and now we had to find something else for her to wear. Luckily, Aunt Daniele found this adorable green dress that was almost Abbey's size. To keep her in one spot, Aunt Daniele told her the plants were thirsty and she needed to give them a drink!
Ava actually wanted to have her picture taken, so we seized the opportunity! Tyler was torturing her, as usual, so we told her she could pretend to be a pretty princess high up in a tower. Ava will do anything if it has the word princess in it, so she scampered up the ladder to the monkey bars.
By the time we got to Ty-guy, he wanted nothing to do with the photo shoot. He said we were "boring" – and kept telling us he needed an ice cream for energy. Thankfully, we got a few pictures of him – even though he's pouting in most of them!
Overall, the photo shoot went pretty well. Aunt Daniele even had enough good snapshots of the kids to create our new header graphic. Hooray!
Thanks Karen! Daniele & I are excited about the blog too. 🙂
I think that was a great idea! You got some beautiful shots and an awesome header! Good luck with the blog…I wish I was so industrious.
