Having a Halloween party? These hot dog mummies are a quick and easy appetizer for your holiday party. Kids love them and adults do too!
I was looking for fun Halloween snack ideas and came across these spooky Crescent Mummy Dogs. We get really excited for Halloween over here and I thought this would be a really cute snack idea for my kids. On Friday nights, we do Movie Night in our home and I planned to surprise them with these Hot Dog Mummies.
On Fridays, we keep things really simple for dinner, so I wrapped these Hot Dog Mummies with refrigerated dough. If you have young children, hot dogs can be a choking hazard, so just slice your hot dogs or cocktail wieners into smaller portions.
HOT DOG MUMMIES
Ingredients:
- cocktail wiener or hot dogs
- refrigerated pie dough / crust
Directions:
Step 1: Cut the dough into thin strips. Roll them lightly in your hand to make them into a rope.
Step 2: If you have small children, cut the cocktail wieners or hot dogs into slices.
Step 3: Wrap the dough ropes around the wieners, leaving space between for the dough to puff up.
Step 4: Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
