Send Halloween Candy To Troops via Soldiers Angels. They will ship your leftover, individually wrapped, hard candies to our troops overseas!
Every year, my husband and I buy enough Halloween candy to feed a small village. For some reason, we can’t help ourselves. We get caught up in the Halloween spirit and think that every kid in a 50 mile radius is going to come knocking on our doors. Unfortunately, the day after Halloween, we experience “buyer’s remorse” as we survey the insane amount of leftover sweets.
Usually, we just hide all of the leftover chocolates and repurpose them in our Christmas stockings come December. But this year, I vowed to only buy non-chocolate treats to hand out to the trick-or-treaters.
Why am I ditching chocolates this year?
Reason #1: I only inhale chocolate treats, so 5,000 pounds of lollypops will not tempt me.
Reason #2: I found out that I can ship leftover, individually wrapped, hard candies to our troops overseas!
Isn’t that a most wonderful way to use up leftover Halloween candy!? I love the idea of our lollypops ending up in care packages for our troops. Not only will they have sweets for themselves, but the lollypops will also give them something nice to hand out to the children that they come in contact with on a regular basis.
I am so excited to help our kids see that there are so many small things you can do in this world that will make all the difference to a stranger. Now, in addition to donating shoes to Soles 4 Souls, they can also put a smile on our troops’ faces.
So, as you buy your Halloween candy this week, think about our troops overseas and consider buying some treats that you can ship to them afterwards – because who really needs all the extra pounds of candy anyways?

The first pfoto is very funny))
That is super! I finally got the kids to give up the rest of their Tootsie pops, and we’ll be making a care package asap!
My sister in law is a kindergarten teacher and she got all her kids to send a big package of candy to the troops after she read your post!
