Kids Craft: Turkey Window Decorations

These construction paper, hand print, turkey crafts for kids are an adorable way to make some Thanksgiving decorations for your home. www.weknowstuff.us.com
I love decorating my windows with the kids for the holidays. I wanted to do something fun using their hand prints for Thanksgiving. This is a very simple and cute project if you can get your kids to sit still long enough to trace their hands! My kids loved using the glue stick to put the pieces of the turkey together once I cut everything out for them. You can use buttons, beans or paper for the eyes or you can draw them on!

KIDS CRAFT: HAND PRINT TURKEY DECORATIONS

Materials:

  • Construction paper
  • Glue Stick
  • Buttons

Step 1: Trace your child’s hand on construction paper using a pen and cut out the hand shape.

Step 2: Choose a different color paper and draw the turkey’s body. Any round shape with a head will do fine.

Step 3: Draw a little gizzard. Try drawing a triangle with a teardrop under it and cut.

Step 4: Have the kids glue stick all of the pieces together. Find some buttons or beans for the eyes. Glue them on. (Be prepared – my daughter insisted on having two eyes on the face even though it was a “side profile” of the turkey. So I have a few flounder turkeys in my window.)

Step 5: Hang in your windows or turn them into Thanksgiving cards for your family!

Happy Thanksgiving,

Daniele
