My sister and I recently decided to clean out our children’s closets. I’m not quite sure what inspired us to do this, but it was necessary. Their closets were overflowing with clothes that no longer fit, and we decided that we should donate their clothes to a worthy organization. After doing some research about local groups, we decided to go with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island, NY.
This not-for-profit organization encourages positive growth and development in children by providing families with quality mentoring, education and support services. In short, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island matches volunteer mentors to children who are in need of an extra influential role model in their lives.

Upon calling Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island, an incredibly friendly volunteer scheduled a pick-up of our clothes for that very same week! I couldn’t believe how easy they made it for us to donate our used baby clothes.
