November 23rd is Eat A Cranberry Day! These tasty red berries have loads of health benefits and we've compiled a ton of delicious cranberry recipes for you!

Did you know that today, November 23rd, is Eat A Cranberry Day? We’re not sure why cranberries get a whole day dedicated to themselves, but we’re not surprised.

These tasty red berries have loads of health benefits and studies have shown that cranberries are:

  • effective in fighting E.coli (the bacteria that can cause urinary tract infections)
  • getting rid of H. pylori (the bacteria that is linked to stomach cancer and ulcers)
  • helping eliminate streptococcus mutans (the bacteria responsible for tooth decay)
  • and, they might be able to prevent stroke and heart disease.

Cranberries can be easily enjoyed in fresh, dried or liquid forms. I prefer fresh cranberries when baking, but I love dried ones too. I eat at least a handful of dried cranberries every day! To celebrate Eat A Cranberry Day, we cobbled together some of our favorite Cranberry recipes. Enjoy!

I love that so many of our blogging friends love cranberries too! I’m actually quite surprised by how many delicious recipes we were able to gather up for all of you.

Just remember, fresh cranberries are only in the grocery store for a short while, so make you stock up now while you can. I buy bags of them in November and freeze them, so I can enjoy my favorite cranberry recipes all year long!

Which is your favorite? I have quite a few that I’m planning to try, but I will say that my sister’s Thanksgiving Biscotti are amazing, so make sure you check them out!

Thanks for reading,

Denine

I didn’t eat any cranberries yesterday – but I would have if I’d known the occasion! I have a bag of them to add to spinach salad, yum!
