As you know, this past winter, Daniele and I did some soul searching to decide where we really wanted to go with our blog. We had some family issues at hand and we needed to reevaluate our priorities. After taking a few weeks off, we came back with clearer heads, a revised focus, and a solution that worked for us – and our families.
We don't need to go into all of the nitty gritty details, but the most important thing that resulted from our soul searching was that whenever things got a bit hectic, we would take a step back to focus on our family. And, we wouldn't feel guilty about it because at the end of the day family matters more than anything else in this world, right? We think so too.
But as Daniele and I came to the conclusion that we couldn't be "Super Moms" every single day, life tossed us a pleasant surprise. Not one, but two wonderfully talented women also started to reevaluate their lives and agreed to share their Voices, their wisdom, and their expert knowledge on our blog. So to help keep We Know Stuff alive and thriving, and give us some family time when we need it, we've decided to bring on some Guest Bloggers.
We're really excited to be able to introduce you to some new Voices, and we know that you'll adore our Guest Bloggers as much as we do. As you know, We Know Stuff is a family-friendly blog, so it goes without saying that both Anne and Julie are Moms just like us.
Anne Davis, Early Intervention & Education Blogger
If you happen to be one of our fellow West Islip High School alums, than you're already familiar with our lovely Early Intervention & Education Blogger. We've known Anne (and her sister) since high school – back when I was acting in school plays and Daniele was working on set design. Anne is older than us, thereby making her cooler than us, especially if we're going back to the high school pecking order. 🙂
Anne Davis has been both an elementary school teacher and a special education teacher for the past ten years. Prior to teaching, Anne worked as a social worker and a prevention specialist.
Anne is happily married and has two children. She is currently working on becoming a children’s author.
We welcome her thoughts and opinions with open arms and wish her the best of luck in her writing career.
Julie Clark, Autism Awareness Blogger
If you happen to be a graduate of SUNY Geneseo, or more importantly, an Autism Advocate, then you already know our beloved Autism Blogger. Julie has always been a supporter of We Know Stuff and was even one of our featured Etsy Artisans last year. So when we decided to invite an Autism Specialist into the fold, we knew we'd be blessed if Julie joined our team.
Julie Clark is the published author of “Asperger’s in Pink” and speaks professionally about Autism. She is also the creative force behind Julie Clark Art.
Julie is happily married too and has a beautiful daughter.
As always, we love Julie, and are honored that she will share her voice and opinions with us.
With much love and respect, we welcome Anne amd Julie into our mix.
