Elf On The Shelf Ideas Chart

Elf on the Shelf Ideas, www.weknowstuff.us.com

For a long time, Daniele and I didn’t participate in The Elf On The Shelf craze. Not only did we think that the Elf was a bit creepy, but we really didn’t like that the Elf “tattled to Santa”. Besides, we preferred spending our limited free time scheming up ideas for our Naughty Little Leprechaun much more. (Hey, we’re Irish – and we love Saint Patrick’s Day!)

However, last year, our children came running home from school on a cold December afternoon screaming that their classrooms had been visited by an Elf On The Shelf and they demanded to know why an Elf had never shown up in our respective homes.

Unfortunately, we weren’t prepared to answer this question and although I don’t remember what I said, it apparently wasn’t very good. Our children got all fired up over the Elf’s absence and started saying horrible things like: “We must be really naughty.”; “Maybe Santa doesn’t have enough elves to share”; “Maybe Santa doesn’t like us.” — and other such disheartening things. So Daniele and I caved – and I ran out to Hallmark and picked us each up an Elf On The Shelf.

Since we were a bit late to the game, we frantically tried to make our Elves do incredibly cool things each and every night. But after the first week, we were whispering into the phone, while the kids fell asleep, trying to think of new things to do. On more than one occasion, our husbands had been known to go downstairs for their early morning cup of coffee only to find out that we forgot to move the stinking Elf – again.

As we quickly approach the appearance of The Elf On The Shelf – and all of the insanity that comes with it – we thought we would do all busy Moms and Dads a favor and create an Elf On The Shelf Ideas Chart. This Elf On The Shelf chart includes some of our own crazed Elf-antics as well as some new ideas that we brainstormed this morning.

Feel free to download this chart, or pin it to your Pin Boards, but remember to keep it away from the prying eyes of your kids; the Elf is magical and has to come up with these ideas all by itself!

Hopefully, our Elf On The Shelf Idea Chart will spark some really cool ideas of your own. If and when they do, please stop back and share them in the comments section below.

We’ll also be posting lots of pictures of our Elves in action on our Instagram account, so please make sure to Follow us to watch our Elves’ Naughtiness unfold. Tag your photos #ElfOnTheShelfIdeasChart and @WeKnowStuff, and we’ll make sure to comment on your pictures!
