OXO Tot: Baby and Toddler Products That Really Work

Until my care package of OXO Tot goodies arrived, I was pretty convinced that there was no such thing as a sippy cup that didn’t leak or a car ride that didn’t include a trip to an icky rest stop. But not anymore.

In my family, we love road trips! Having relatives in New York and Kentucky, we take every opportunity to map out fun scenic stops on the way to each destination.

As most of us may know, traveling with young children can be quite challenging. No matter how much we prepare, plan and organize, crying can ensue and life can get messy. But having helpful products along the way makes a world of difference — especially if you have multiple kids. I have three boys; ages five, three and one. They thrive off messes, throwing things and eating. While being stuck in a car for over 12 hours with only a few short breaks, I really need to be able to rely on easy ways to feed them and keep their items WITHin arms reach.

So when OXO Tot reached out to We Know Stuff to see if they would review their product line, Denine and Daniele decided to put their products to the test with me…and my three boys.

To be honest, I was amazed at the durability and quality of each item. OXO Tot really does make products with the parent in mind.

Over the years, I’ve definitely gone through my share of snack cups. And, I know that somewhere out there is a landfill full of our broken, discarded sippy cups and snack containers piled higher than the sun. It’s not because we’re wasteful. It’s just because my boys have broken, cracked and lost the tops of anything I’ve tried to put puffs, crackers or drinks in within a matter of days.

I was starting to think that all hope was lost until I got to test out a few products from the OXO Tots line.

OXO Tot Soft Sprout Changing Cup Set

I’m officially in love with the OXO Tot Soft Sprout Changing Cup Set! It’s perfect for children of all ages. It’s a fabulous sippy cup with handles and a lid for my 1-year-old, or I can remove the handles and change the top to be more like a standard drinking cup with a lid for my 3-year-old. It also makes a comfortable kid cup for the big boy. It’s not flimsy, has been put to the “break” test (and passed!) and is dishwasher safe. Plus, the colors available are super fun.

My next great life saver was the OXO Tot Flippy Snack Cup. Do I have the only child who sees a cup with a slotted lid full of snacks and purposely shoves their hand in while shaking it upside down so a huge mess is made? Never fails. On a positive note, our dog loves eating all of the fallen treats! But OXO’s Flippy Snack Cup is fail proof! No matter how many times Mr. Z shook and shoved, Cheerios were not making it out of this container (which made me one happy mom!) The last thing I wanted is a ton of cereal on the floor for everyone to step on as they departed the car. Just when you think it couldn’t get better, there’s even a lid! No stale or mushy snacks if your kids aren’t hungry. Just pack it,and leave it for when they’re ready. It even has a helpful hook to hook onto any stroller! How cool is that?!

Ok, now here’s the best part. Whether you have one or ten children (God Bless You!), the inevitable, “I have to go potty” comments will begin. It’s usually five minutes after everyone is in the car, buckled up, and ready to go. When driving long distances, sometimes a bathroom isn’t available right away. And as we all know, when a child has to go, it means NOW.  OXO Tot invented an easy to use 2 in 1 Go Potty.  I know what you’re thinking, “I have a boy and it’s easy for him to pee behind a tree.”  Don’t judge, we’ve all said it, done it, and would do it again!  But any trip we’ve ever taken always involves someone having to go “Number 2.” It’s as if our car rides magically cause pooping!! But this travel potty makes it super easy to set up your little one in a private (one can hope) setting so they can comfortably take a number two. The best part of this potty is that it can actually be used EVERY DAY! This way, if you who only travel once a year or less, this item doesn’t go to waste. It can be used at the beach, for potty training on your regular toilet, or can even be taken out to restaurants to avoid your child sitting on a public toilet. The possibilities are endless because it’s JUST SO EASY to use and doesn’t take up any space.

OXO Tot On The Go Wipe Dispenser With Diaper Pouch

There are so many other necessities OXO Tot created like the On The Go Wipe Dispenser With Diaper Pouch that holds a few diapers and plenty of wipes. This was a lifesaver when I had to run into the outlet mall the other day with my one-year-old. I just strapped it right onto his stroller and got to leave my diaper bag in the car. Yay!

The Cleaning Set is also incredibly helpful and is hooked together on a key ring which makes it easy to find in a hotel setting when needed. Lastly, my new BFF is the Handy Stroller Hook that holds my purse, jacket, and bags for when I need to buy more OXO Tot stuff!
