Google Chromecast Audio: Stream millions of songs, radio stations & podcasts over WiFi via apps like Pandora, Spotify, YouTube Music, & Google Play Music.

My neighbor, Lisa, is a completely lovely, tech-gadget nerd. If there’s a hot new product on the market, she always knows about it. And, one of the things I love most about her is that she’s not an annoying tech-gadget nerd. You know the ones I’m talking about. The ones who merely buy the hottest new products just so they can brag about having them.
Nope, when Lisa gets her hands on the latest gadgets and gizmos it’s because she really, really loves technology. It’s what makes her tick.

So when I had the opportunity to review Google Chromecast Audio, I knew she would be my perfect test subject. For in addition to her love for all things technology, she’s also a huge vintage accessories buff.
From her old school camera display to her collection of vintage radios, her house is effortlessly chic. Seriously, it’s magazine worthy without being stuffy.

Since I did not have any cool am/fm radios to test the new Google Chromecast Audio out on, I gave Lisa a call. She happily grabbed one of the awesome radios that were hiding in her son’s room and brought it on over. The radio is the bomb – old school, wooden, impressive. But, it only got limited reception, which is why it had become part of her son’s bedroom decor.
My sister and I eagerly hooked up the Google Chromecast Audio into the AUV port and, like magic, we were streaming music wirelessly. Not am/fm staticky stuff, but crisp, clear music right off of our phones.

Amazing. Simple. Idiot-proof. It’s a game changer – and it’s dirt cheap.
Now, millions of vintage radio fans can rejoice. With just $35, they can turn they super cool, magazine-worthy radios into a wireless speaker and because Chromecast Audio uses WiFi instead of Bluetooth, you can stream crystal clear hi-res sound.
