This Healthy Strawberry Banana Smoothie is a great way to use up an abundance of strawberries. Plus, it’s made with almond milk and honey so you can feel good about giving it to your family!
Every summer we take multiple trips to the east end of Long Island to visit the farms. This past weekend we decided to take the kids for a drive to see if we could find any new farm stands. Just as they started to get restless we spotted a beautiful farm complete with a well stocked farmers market. My son promptly located freshly baked cookies that he had to have, while my daughter returned with a basket of strawberries.
She informed me that she had never ever seen such big strawberries and she promised to eat every single one. Over the course of the weekend we used the strawberries on pancakes, yogurt, cereal and eventually we were strawberried out. But I still had SO many left. I really didn’t want to waste them but I was pretty sick of them! The following day, I was having my sister and her kids over so I decided surprise each of them with a healthy strawberry banana smoothie for lunch! 🙂
HEALTHY STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1 cup vanilla almond milk
- 1 cup ice
- honey to taste
Directions:
Step 1: Throw everything in the blender. Blend until smooth.
