The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation provides important services to the neglected, abandoned, and surrendered pets on the East End of Long Island. The shelter used to be run by the Town of Southampton, but it is now a privatized foundation.
The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation has a fully trained staff that is dedicated to providing the best care possible for the animals. They even have a Training and Behavior Department that assesses the needs of the dogs and develops specific training plans so that they can become devoted members of a new adoptive family. The shelter also offers reduced fees for low income pet owners. FREE spaying/neutering for all Pit Bulls, and Dog Obedience Classes.
The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation provides all of the necessary care to these homeless animals. The foundation is really terrific – in addition to providing the basic needs like food, bedding, medications and toys, the shelter also makes sure that every animal is inoculated, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped.
You can help The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation by adopting, donating or volunteering. The Foundation is made up of a very special group of people that are all dedicated to increasing adoption, and decreasing the population of abandoned and homeless animals.
