Now that the warmer weather is here, we’re all about fresh summer fruit. Our kids are big fans of the usual suspects like strawberries and blueberries, but they’re also madly in love with watermelons and pineapples. Come June, we eat them non-stop!
I made a delicious pineapple upside cake for my father-in-law over the weekend and happened to have some pineapple leftover. As soon as my daughter spied it in the fridge, she announced that we should make some smoothies with it.
I’m always up for a ice cold smoothie, so it sounded like a good plan to me. This super simple pineapple smoothie is a great cooking with kids recipe. They can help you chop up the pineapple, scoop out the yogurt, pour in the milk and drizzle on some honey! It’s a perfect way to start your day!
PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon honey
Directions:
Step 1: Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend on high for 2 minutes.
