I found this adorable ladybug rock craft in the “Rock Craft’s” section of the Martha Stewart site. My daughter loves ladybugs and I knew she would have a lot of fun painting these little rocks. I sent her on a “pebble hunt” while I gathered a few supplies.
KIDS CRAFT: LADYBUG ROCKS
Materials:
- Red, black & white acrylic paint
- Small paintbrushes
- Assorted rocks and pebbles
Directions:
Step 1: Wash the rocks and pebbles with dish soap and allow to dry.
Step 2: Paint two half moons on the top of the rock. Or a heart shape.
Step 3: Add black spots and white eyes. If you want to leave them out in your garden or in a houseplant, spray with protective varnish. Allow to dry.
Happy crafting,
Daniele

They were really cute to make. You can turn the rocks into pretty much any bug he is in to!
