So Sherri, how did you get interested in card making? 

I have always enjoyed crafting and have done ceramics, sewing, knitting, candy making, etc.  I started making scrapbooks as a child and scrapped my school years and other events.  I then became interested in card making when a local scrapbook store was offering classes and teaching techniques.

 How do you encourage people to continue mailing cards in this unpersonalized era of e-cards and FaceBook messages?

I always ask the person which would they rather receive, a pre-made email or a personal handmade card in the mail.  Everyone I talk to still would rather receive mail from the post office.  People often tell me they know it's easier to send an email or ecard, but they know someone really cares when they receive a handmade card in the mail.

What do you love most about making handcrafted cards?

I love being able to make cards with 3-D features.

What are your favorite types of cards to make?

That's hard to answer.  I enjoy making all types of cards using lots of different techniques.  I try to specialize in masculine cards since many people don't create many with a manly theme.

Where do you get your ideas from?

Most of my ideas come from my heart and how the paper and embellishments move me.  I try not to "scrap lift" much since I feel like I'm stealing a piece of someone's art.  I learn new techniques and try to make them personal by adding my own touches.

Do you also supply large orders? For example, if someone wanted to place a large custom order for a wedding shower, a baby shower, or milestone birthday – could you do that?

Absolutely, no order is too big or too small.
