Family Tailgating with KING’S HAWAIIAN®

King's Hawaiian Sandwich Buns https://www.weknowstuff.us.com

The start of Fall often evokes strong memories in people. Thoughts of new supplies for school, pumpkin picking for Halloween, recipe gathering for Thanksgiving…or crazy tailgating for soccer season! Over here, our fall weekends are peppered with back to back soccer games for our little ones.

With so much to do in the fall, I spend a decent amount of time packing snacks and lunches. We often have our lunches from a cooler in between soccer practices and matches. In this mom's opinion, there are few things worse than a tired, hungry kid!

Cooler lunches can be a tricky thing if you aren't fully prepared. As a kid, smushy sandwiches topped my list of the worst thing to eat from a cooler. I could deal with the crunch-less crackers and warm juice boxes, but not the smushy sandwiches.

For my own children, I have tested a variety of sandwich breads to avoid the dreaded smushiness. With my unofficial research, I have found that Kings Hawaiian Sandwich Buns dominate the cooler challenge. I don't know if it is the thickness of the bun, the mere shape of it, or some very special ingredient. All I know is, it emerges from the cooler feeling and tasting as fresh as it did when I first made the sandwich.

As I mentioned, I spend entirely too much time making lunches, and I thought I would share my children's favorite Kings Hawaiian Sandwich with you!

Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one side and stack your ingredients together.

Store in an airtight container. Place in your cooler and head off to your kids next sporting event. They will love these fresh little cheese heart sandwiches as much as they love you!
