10 Creative Toys For Boys

Our 10 Creative Toys For Boys gift guide focuses on a few quality toys that will provide hours of constructive play time and foster their imaginations.

wks_kidsmoving

Recently, my son threw a small fit when I told him that he needed to add some “non electronic” toys on his Wish List. He got downright upset about it and proclaimed that anything without a remote was B-O-R-I-N-G. I was determined to prove him wrong, so we started talking about some of his most favorite toys and surprise, surprise, they didn’t actually involve an iPad or a remote.

Several of them did use batteries, but I was willing to let this slide. The most important part was that his favorite toys were those that encouraged him to be creative. Those that required him to use his imagination. And, those that enabled him to play nicely together with his sister too.

Whether his fire breathing dragon was lighting the princesses castle on fire, or his barn yard animals all came down with rabies and his sister’s Veterinarian Barbie had to save them all, the toys he talked about most where the ones that allowed him to change their use based upon his mood.

So with this in mind, we created a gift guide with our boys that is comprised of toys that they currently have or are asking Santa for this year. These 10 Creative Toys For Boys focus on a few high quality items that will provide hours of creative play.

My nephew is all about capes. He has so many and even uses bandanas so for him he always wants capes and normally gets capes.

Out of the above toys shown, I would say my favorite is the Fisher-Price Imaginext DC Super Friends Batcave. Other than that, he loves his play tools.

My favorite creative gift for boys are train sets. Train sets are great because they can build on them just like they build onto their minds.

I love the little star light lantern. My girls had something similar to this when they were younger and they fought over who got to sleep with it every night for YEARS. I should have just bought two!

I agree with the other comments, you really can never go wrong with lego or anything else that boys can build. My husband has his eyes on toy cars that you can take apart and customize for our kids!
