I have been compensated by Immaculate Baking for this post; however, I am sharing my own thoughts. All opinions are my own.
Everyone has a favorite holiday recipe. In our home, it’s our brookies recipe. It combines our kids’ two favorite desserts: brownies + cookies = brookies.
Everyone has a favorite holiday recipe. It’s not always the most complicated recipe. It’s not always the fanciest recipe. Sometimes, it just about enjoying your favorite foods. This is how our family’s brookie recipe came to be. It combines two of our children’s favorite desserts: brownies + cookies = brookies.
The funny thing about this holiday recipe is that brookies are one of the easiest recipes to pull together. All you need is your favorite brownie mix and your favorite refrigerated cookie dough. That’s it.
And I honestly think that it’s the simplicity of this recipe that wins so many people over. You don’t need to be a baker to make it. You just need to follow the instructions on the back of your favorite baking mixes. The cool thing is that it just looks like it took you a tremendous amount of time to put together.
For this brookies recipe, we used Organic Fudge Brownie Scratch Mix, Gluten Free Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough, and Gluten Free Double Chocolate Cookie Dough from the Immaculate Baking Company. We’ve been fans of their products for a few years now and love that their company’s mission focuses on creating wholesome baking products – many of which are organic, natural, and gluten free. We also think that their products taste great and we love that we can whip up simple desserts like our brookies recipe for all of our friends!

- 1 package of Organic Fudge Brownie Scratch Mix
- 1 Stick (1/2 Cup) Butter, Melted
- 2 Tablespoon Water
- 2 Eggs
- 1 package of refrigerated Gluten Free Double Chocolate Cookies
- 1 package of refrigerated Gluten Free Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Step 2: Stir Brownie Mix, melted butter, water and eggs in medium bowl until well blended (batter will be thick). Spread evenly in baking pan.
Step 3: Cut both rolls of cookie dough in half. Save the halves for baking cookies later on. Break up the cookie dough into small chunks. Sprinkle them over the brownie batter and press lightly into place.
Step 4: Bake as directed below or until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean; cool. To cut warm brownies easily, use pizza cutter. Store tightly covered.
Happy Holidays,
