My kids have a bowl of Cheerios almost every single day. By now, one would think that they would tire of their favorite cereal, but they don’t. Instead, they truly relish their morning bowl (or two) and only occasionally stray from their favorite variety: Honey Nut Cheerios.

This is completely fine by me because I love Cheerios too. Even though I prefer the plain variety with bananas, my kids and I can agree that no matter what flavor floats our boat, Cheerios are delicious.

Cheerios have been a staple in our home for years now and even though my school-aged children no longer used chubby baby fingers to shove fistfuls of them in their mouths, we still love them. Only now, we eat Cheerios like “big kids” in a bowl or in these amazing cereal bars.

This no bake cereal bars recipe is chock full of protein-rich peanuts, whole grain oats, and just a touch of sweetness. My kids love to take them to school for snack time and I like to eat them…well, anytime, really!

This No Bake Cereal Bar Recipe is pretty delicious if I do say so myself. I like to make them with the leftover bits of Cheerios that are always found at the bottom of the bag. This way we don’t waste a single one. I also love that I can swap in any ingredient that I have on hand – the options are endless with this recipe!

Right now, Cheerios is doing a really cool “Buy One, Give One” promotion that we think deserves some love. When you buy specially marked packages of Cheerios, you will find a special code inside the box. Once you enter the code here: http://wm6.walmart.com/Gluten-Free-Cheerios, you will be able to send a coupon for a free box of Cheerios to someone special.

Isn’t that adorable? And sweet? And kind?

My kids decided to send their coupons to their Grandma because she rules. She’s adorable and loves them dearly. She also loves Cheerios, so this is truly a win-win situation for us all.
