I have to admit, I have never be a big fan of slime. It’s messy, sticky and can be temperamental at times. Over the years we have tested many different slime recipes. I have found that when we make slime with baking soda and glue the results are very predictable!
For this slime experiment we used a few fun “ingredients” that we had sitting around in the craft bin. Adding perler beads to our slime recipe added a nice texture to the slime. Squeezing the little plastic beads through the slime was a unique sensory experience. As we squeezed and squished, it was fun to see if the beads would be able to escape the slime.

Spolier alert – the perler beads were trapped!
I have to admit, I was thrilled that the beads stayed firmly stuck in the slime! I was fully expecting the beads to be scattered all over the kitchen floor! Jokes aside, this slime recipe was a lot of fun to play with. If you don’t have perler beads on hand – any small craft bits will do. Think buttons, beads, sequins or even teeny tiny toys!
