These adorable construction paper birds nests are a fun way to use up leftover bits of paper and make terrific homemade Easter gifts for friends and family!

My children and I created these adorable construction paper bird’s nests for Easter last year. We have made this into a holiday tradition around our house. This is also a great way to recycle used construction paper.

I originally found my inspiration for these little nests in this Country Living article for papier-mâché bird’s nests. I thought it would be a great craft to do with my kids using some of the massive amounts of construction we have in our home. My children had a lot of fun making a big gooey mess.

They were very surprised to see that they had actually created little bird’s nests. They turned out to be very cute for Easter too!
