Usually, we don’t blog about weddings, but that’s about to change now that we’re helping our brother and his future wife plan their fun summer wedding. ♥
My sister and I have something super exciting to share with all of you! Our younger brother is getting married in September to the most amazing woman. We are so lucky to be able to call her our future sister-in-law. We truly couldn’t ask for a more perfect person to be his partner in this wacky journey called life.
Plus, our children adore her and they’ve already started adding the “Aunt” to her name. How adorable is that?
Since this casual summer wedding will be hosted in my backyard, you’ll be hearing all about it at We Know Stuff. Usually, we don’t blog about weddings but they asked us to help them plan their fun summer wedding. And, since they’re throwing a super cool, outdoor Food Truck Wedding, we couldn’t resist! I mean, COME ON – what a great idea, right?
Some preliminary details about their fun summer wedding:
They’re having their wedding catered by Chiddy’s Cheese Steaks and if you live on Long Island, you know that Mike is the King of Cheesesteaks. As one friend recently told me, “I waited on line for 45 minutes – in the snow – just to get my hands on a cheesesteak last winter!”
They’re also ditching the overly fussy wedding cake because our future sister-in-law hates cake. (Yep, she’s a weirdo and will fit right in with our family!) Since she’s obsessed with donuts from Glenn Wayne Bakery, Daniele’s going to make a Donut Cake straight out of Pinterest Heaven because she’s the crafty, artsy sister. I’m going to stay far away from this project; I’d just mess it up and eat all of the donuts while Daniele worked.
That should be more than enough food, but this couple has one more idea up their sleeve. They’ve also hired a Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Truck. Say whaaaaaaat? I better be wearing a maxi dress to this wedding!
And, the fun doesn’t stop there. JHaus and Bobby Digital from The JHaus Band will be there too providing live music and entertainment for everyone while Danielle Sheridan works her magic and photographs the wedding for them.
I’m sure I’m missing stuff. But for now, all I can really say is that we’re really excited to have a part in their special day,

I just wanted to say that you guys did a terrific job for the wedding. Nothing was missing. It was a beautiful time and thank you for all your hard work. I had a great time. Food, music & drinks were great. Beer and food truck was a great idea and Ben & Jerry’s truck just finished it off. Thanks again.
