Let Your Child Be The Star! Put Me In The Story creates personalized books for kids using bestselling children’s picture books and well-loved characters.
In a world that’s completely technology driven I’m overwhelmed with joy that my kids love to read books. Every night after dinner is our time to escape into whatever adventure the boys have chosen. Sometimes we all pile onto the couch snuggled against each other so we can take in each scene on the pages, and other times we like to drape a blanket from the top bunk to the floor and all tuck into the bottom bunk bed, especially for the perilous books! My oldest has been practicing reading so listening to him sound out words makes me so proud. He truly enjoys unraveling the plot to any story and trying to predict what’s going to happen next. The middle guy is still learning so he likes to make up his own story from the illustrations, which in my opinion, is always better than the book! (Future author maybe?)
Picking out a book for someone is my favorite. Not only is it heart warming to watch a child browse the pages in awe, but with the endless possibilities of categories, choosing an animated version of a superhero, a talking train or a book about space can plant the seed of love for literature. Of course I manage to include a toy here and there, but now gifting a book to a child can be more intimate than you think.
Recently, I had the pleasure of personalizing five heartwarming books from the company, Put Me In the Story. If you haven’t heard of them before, Put Me In The Story creates personalized books for kids by taking bestselling children’s picture books and well-loved characters and allowing you to create personalized books that make your child the star of the story alongside their favorite characters.
With so many best sellers to choose from like Pete the Cat and Disney’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, you’re bound to find a book for each little boy or girl in your life. The five books that I chose are listed below and I selected them based upon my own children’s likes as well as my nephews. No matter what your little one loves, there’s a Put Me In The Story book that they can be a part of!
Put Me In The Story: Personalized Children’s Books Make Great Gifts
1.) Pirate Pete
Jordy, Pirate Pete, and his parrot sail the open seas to find gold. After Jordy assists in stealing a treasure map from the queen, him and Pirate Pete make multiple stops at places such as Candy Island, Clover Island, Sleepy Island and more. If yer ole little one has a desire for adventure, this book is recommended. The ending provides a great lesson in life and includes a personalized pirate pledge.
2.) Pete the Cat and the Magic Sunglasses
Pete the Cat is feeling grumpy. The only remedy is wearing Ryder’s cool, blue, magic sunglasses. As he comes across many of his friends, he shares Ryder’s sunglasses to help them feel better. Once each animal tries on these magic sunglasses, their moods change, the sun shines brighter and they’re no longer grumpy. Pete soon realizes he doesn’t need sunglasses to be happy. The birds are singing, his friends are with him, and he’s feeling alright! What we enjoyed most about this book is how many times our son’s picture appeared throughout the story. With every turn of the page, Ryder giggled in joy that he was a part of Pete the Cat.
3.) My Name is Not (Insert your child’s name here)
Zachary is a little boy with a huge imagination! As his father calls him to get ready for baseball, to visit grandma or for bed, Zachary answers that he is no longer himself, instead, he’s someone who has changed the world. Acting as Theodore Roosevelt, Chief Joseph, Jackie Robinson and more, this story is not only adorable but educational. With additional pages providing the history of each man the boy acts as our little guy loved pretending to be those heroes as well.
4.) Book of Dinosaurs
An informative book by National Geographic, Dylan became the main character in his own dinosaur story. Including fun facts, questions directed to Dylan on each page, realistic images and pictures of my nephew, this is a gigantic hit for anyone who loves dinosaurs and learning. Great for any age!
5.) Book of Space
Another educational read from National Geographic! Henry was out of this world in this stellar story of space and inquisitive sections about planets. National Geographic does a fantastic job at keeping it simple and fun, especially for kids. For anyone who loves outer space, this is a must!
Happy reading,
